Shima no Taiko
Here is a brief history of our group
On the Island of Montreal,
we are a group of friends and colleagues passionate about Taiko.
During the pandemic,
we were broken apart and scattered.
It took
compassion, courage and perseverance
to come back together and rebuild the group.
Shima no Taiko
(Island Drums)
was born from the post-pandemic need to recover the goodness in ourselves and each other.
The bonds we had
were strengthened and have now become inseparable.
Each beat of our drums
is a new link in the unity we have for each other.
